Fashionistas, who doesn’t love a cozy, warm, and FUZZY unique sweater? With these chilly dropping DC temperatures I can’t help but want to live in a big, thick sweater all season long!
And today’s Fashionista Friday has just the sweater I’m dreaming about. She is a Lawrenceville, Georgia resident and rocking mama to some precious little girls. Not to mention she has a knack for all things fashionable and affordable. At only 33, she has become a Goodwill expert and aficionado with a true talent for putting together stunning ensembles.
I found this week’s Fashionista Friday, a Georgia Goodwill maven, on Instagram using the #MyGoodwillFind hashtag. I stumbled upon a series of shots of this winter wonderland look composed of this rocking lighting bolt sweater, snazzy sunnies, a hip pair of booties, and these slimming stylin’ BCBG jeans.
If you look at her Instagram page, you’ll find countless other fabulous and inspirational Goodwill looks as well. But since today’s was especially seasonal and relevant I had to give it a shoutout.
What I truly love about it is it’s casual, yet still trendy and stylish. Sometimes it’s hard to keep outfits practical for the weather and fashionable simultaneously. All too often, and I know I do this myself, it is easy to just layer and wear extremely warm items, forgetting about the entirety of the look, just because you want to stay warm. But today’s Fashionista Friday shows us that it can be done!
I might not wear these shoes in 30 degree temps. But the fuzzy and uniquely printed sweater and skinny thick denim do just the trick in keeping an outfit effortless and yet still head turning.
The pattern on the sweater is especially on trend and a conversation starter. It’s easy to wear a lot of basic solid sweaters during the winter. This look reminds me that patterns don’t just work on collared shirts, they work on all types! Even fuzzy thick materials too!
